Kasumi Knives are produced by the Sumikama Cutlery factory in Seki Japan. Sumikama specializes in producing knives from the most advanced materials, with the most advanced manufacturing techniques. The Kasumi Damascus series is made from 32 layers of Damascus steel with a middle layer ultra hard steel. Only the middle layer acts as the cutting edge and it is made from VG-10, a high carbon steel for durability and ease of sharpening. The knife is bevelled with a 15 degree angle, creating an extremely sharp edge that measures up with the best Japanese knives. The knife is finished off with perfectly fitting, laminated wooden handles which rest on the tang of the knife. These are medium weight, with very hard blades.

The Kasumi HM Hammered series of knives have a hammer pattern on both sides of the blade is the result of hot forging by 300 tons of a flection machine which makes the steel stronger and hammer design shiny. The uneven hammer design prevents food from sticking to the blade. These Kasumi knives all feature try ply blades with an inner core of VG-10 steel sandwiched between two layers of 410 (18/10) stainless steel. the blades are ultra sharp and feature the same quality of cutting edge as the other Kasumi knife ranges with the blades hardened to 60 HRC. The handles are made with a POM resin that is really comfortable and feels totally smooth in the hand. Hygenic and long-lasting, these knives are made to the highest standards in Seki Japan.

Kasumi Knives are produced by the Sumikama Cutlery factory in Seki Japan. Sumikama specializes in producing knives from the most advanced materials, with the most advanced manufacturing techniques. The Kasumi VG-10 PRO series is the latest addition to the Kasumi range. Kasumi VG-10 Pro Series Knives are forged from one single piece of super high carbon VG-10 (HRC 60-61) stainless steel, meaning that these knives stay sharp longer than most other Japanese knives. These knives are produced to an extremely high degree of hardness, to give a very sharp and durable edge. The knives are finished off with a resin marble effect handle.

Kasumi Titanium Knives are made using typical High Carbon VG-10 stainless steel, but the blades are coated with titanium to give the blades super resistance to chemical and acid abrasion. The coating also makes the knives inert, so prevent food from picking up a metallic taste. The knives are very sharp and feel very light. We recommend these knives as an alternative to ceramic blades where the quality of the knife-edge is still important, but you also require the inertness of a ceramic blade. Choose from 3 different colour coatings, blue, gold and grey.
